Gökhan Uşma started his career at Adana Alparslan Türkeş Science and Technology University as a Research Assistant right after his graduation. Thanks to his devoted work, he received the title of Assistant Professor Doctor in 2022 and continues his duty as the Vice President of the Architecture Department and the Head of the Building Information Department. In addition to having a high number of citations with 6 successful articles published in international refereed journals, our alumni makes a outstanding name for himself in the field thanks to his outstanding achievements in the academic field with his papers presented in many international scientific meetings and published in proceedings books.

Our alumni was awarded the “Academically Outstanding Alumni of the Year” award at the 2023 Outstanding Alumni Awards for his successful work in the academic field.

ISLAM JAD ALLA IMRAN EWAWE

Economics BA 21′

With his knowledge and experience in economy and foreign trade, which he developed while he was a student at our university, Islam Ewawe established Angel Group Import and Export Limited Company after his graduation. The company, which has been operating successfully for more than 1 year, continues to export to countries such as Egypt, Lebanon and Jordan, especially Palestine, in the textile sector.

Thanks to this initiative, our alumni was awarded the “Entrepreneur Alumni of the Year” award at the 2023 Outstanding Alumni Awards.

SELEN ERDOĞAN

Orthodontics PhD 22′

Selen Erdoğan takes part in a project established within the Volunteer Business People’s Community to support women’s employment in Hatay, where the 6th of February Kahramanmaraş earthquakes experienced great destruction. It leads the way in producing and selling local products suitable for the cultural structure of the region within the scope of gaining economic freedom for women affected by the earthquake.

Thanks to this sensitivity, our alumni was awarded the “Ethically and Socially Aware Alumni of the Year” award at the 2023 Outstanding Alumni Awards.

FARUK KIRLI

Architecture BA 17′

After his graduation, Faruk Kırlı opened his first personal exhibition in Prizren under the auspices of the Consulate General of Prizren, and participated in exhibitions in Tokyo and Paris in the same year. He was deemed worthy of the “Tile Artist” award in the 14th”Altın Çınar” Festival in 2018, the “Honorary Award” in the Tile and Ceramics branch in the With the “Sanat Aşkıyla” project in 2019, and the “Tile Artist” award in the Women’s Traces Project in Göbeklitepe, Şanlıurfa in 2022. The designs he prepared for Galatasaray Sports Club in 2019 were added to the Galatasaray Sports Club Collection. Many of his designs are exhibited in the collections of world-famous sports clubs museums. In 2022 T.C. He took part in the project as the only tile artist in the exhibition with the Tile Installation titled “Sultan’s Dowry” at the 2nd Yeditepe Biennial in cooperation with the Classical Turkish Arts Foundation and Fatih Municipality, under the auspices of the Presidency. She continues her workshops and classes in her workshop in Eyüpsultan – Zal Mahmud Paşa Complex and Başakşehir Traditional Arts Academy.

Thanks to these achievements, our alumni was deemed worthy of the “Alumni of the Year” award at the 2023 Outstanding Alumni Awards.

RISING STAR ALUMNI OF THE YEAR

Electrical and Computer Engineering MA 21′

Ekrem Cılız contributed to the establishment of Altınbaş University Electric Vehicle Team EVA Team, served as the vice-captain and took responsibility as a vehicle pilot in the races that took the 3rd place in Turkey. After his graduation, he stayed at the university to contribute to R&D Activities and started to work as an Assistant Specialist in the Department of Scientific Research and Projects. Here, he supported the execution of many national and international projects, and the application and execution stages of BAP Projects within the university. In addition to his professional life, he continued his Master’s degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering at Altınbaş University, and also served as team captain within the EVA Team. In the continuation of his professional life, he became a Research Assistant in the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Faculty of Engineering and Architecture, in order to share what he learned professionally with the students. In addition to the laboratory lessons, he also provided support to the Electric Vehicle, Autonomous Vehicle and Unmanned Aerial Vehicle projects carried out by the students. By taking part in the AUTONOM Research Center established within the university, he provided support in the realization of multiple civil and defense industry projects, and in the realization of 3 different EU Project applications. He participated in laboratory studies in the field of batteries by receiving an invitation from Politecnico Di Milano University in Italy, which is in the 98th place in the Times Higher Education 2022 ranking within the scope of ERASMUS. He met with the academicians and researchers here and participated in activities about possible cooperation and project studies. He graduated from Altınbaş University Electrical and Computer Engineering MSc program in 2021. After her graduation, she was accepted to Yıldız Technical University Electrical Machines and Power Electronics Doctorate Program. As of December 2022, he received an offer from AVL, an international company, for the position of Battery Development Engineer. In his current position, he advances the “Battery Management System” development studies he carried out within the scope of Altınbaş University Electrical and Computer Engineering Master’s Thesis and supports the electric vehicle projects of international automobile companies.

In line with these achievements, our alumni was entitled to receive the “Rising Star Alumni of the Year” award at the 2023 Outstanding Alumni Awards.

Alaa Hamid Mohammed has published 12 research articles between conferences as well as the “Scopus” journal on behalf of Altınbaş University. He has obtained research evaluator certificates and a high degree (Q1) in international journals and is among the scientists of the world for the year 2022. In addition, our alumni’s work has a high citation count and H-indesk.

Our alumni was awarded the “Academically Outstanding Alumni of the Year” Award for his successful work in the academic field.

Tarık Arık is the founder of the brand Neu-Pol, which was the first neuro-political researcher in Turkey to serve international brands in the field of neuro marketing in 2018. For the past 4 years, the brand has conducted the most comprehensive nationwide research examining Generation Z and college students.

In addition, Arık is the founder of Mor Ajans, which was founded in 2015 and provides digital media services. In 2016 and 2017, the agency managed to enter the category of “promising agencies”, in which Google selects only 12 companies per year.

In addition to these, Arık has launched the Maya Idea Club, which is a big social responsibility platform with 5800 volunteers.

Thanks to these initiatives, our alumni was awarded the “Entrepreneur Alumni of the Year”.

HASAN CEM SEVİNDİK

Medicine

Hasan Cem Sevindik served as a civilian physician in Idlib, which is one of the cross-border operation areas of the Turkish Armed Forces, under the Antakya District Health Directorate, where he was appointed after his graduation. Then, in Hatay Immigration Center, which is under the administration of the Directorate General of Migration Management funded by the United Nations, it has been providing health services to asylum seekers who have migrated from many parts of the world voluntarily for one and a half years.

Thanks to these services, our alumni was entitled to receive the “Ethically and Socially Alumni of the Year”.

Özgecan Doğu had the opportunity to work in domestic and international projects as an ERP Systems Validation consultant at Conval Group. Then, she passed the contentious interviews with engineers from various parts of the world and started to work at Eaton, which has made a name for itself internationally as an Eastern Europe Sales Operations Data Analyst. In the coming years, she will continue her work in the company’s offices in Europe.

Our alumni was entitled to receive the “Alumni of the Year” for her promising work.

ŞEBNEM ÖZTÜRK

Business/Executive Coaching and Mentoring

Şebnem Öztürk has the internationally recognized PCC (Professional Certified Coach) title. In 2021, Öztürk and her team were deemed worthy of the “The Most Successful Social Responsibility Coaching Project of 2021” award for the project they carried out with their volunteer coach friends, aimed at young people who do not have the opportunity and are preparing for the university exam. Again in 2021, she was deemed worthy of the “The Most Successful Entrepreneur Women of the Year Award” for her attempts to carry out her coaching, mentoring and training activities in the state sector as well. She is currently working as a “Training Coordinator & Corporate Transformation Consultant” in the domestic and international field at “Hayatın Ritmi” Education, Coaching and Consulting firm.

Thanks to these efforts, our alumni was entitled to receive the “Rising Star of the Year” Award.
