Meet with Faruk Kırlı, Alumni of the Year at the 2023 Outstanding Alumni Awards.

Some of Faruk Kırlı’s works are in the Presidential Collection, the Ministry of Culture, various museums, local governments and private collections. He was deemed worthy of the “Tile Artist” award in the 14th Golden Sycamore Festival in 2018, the “Honorary Award” in the Tile and Ceramics branch in the With the Love of Art project in 2019, and the “Tile Artist” award in the Women’s Traces Project in Şanlıurfa – Göbeklitepe in 2022.In 2022, under the auspices of the Presidency, in the 2nd Yeditepe Biennial in cooperation with the Classical Turkish Arts Foundation and Fatih Municipality, he took part in the project as the only tile artist in the exhibition with the Tile Installation titled “The Sultan’s Dowry”. By interpreting both tradition and the future through his own retrospective, the artist continues the transfer of Turkish tile art to future generations with his works, students and studies.
